When you try run the utility tasks manually, they fail. You may get a similar error:

Schedule

an eject, the job starts running (or initialising). A few minutes later the Job Status changes from “Running” to “Communication Stalled”. Then after 15

minutes the job fails. The same happens when trying to run an inventory.

The solution is as follows:

Go to the Devices tab and right-click on

the media server. Choose the pause option and leave it paused for a few seconds. Then un-pause it. Next re-start the Backup Exec services. Once the services

have re-started, you should have no trouble running the utility operations.

The client later asks you to do the same thing, but on his 2008

server. Again you say no problem and quickly open up the same location. But wait, it isn’t there! So you remember that user documents are located under

C:\Users (not Documents and Settings anymore!!). But there is still no “all users”. You choose to show hidden folders, but still no luck. One step further

and you choose not to hide protected system files. Aha, success! All users is now in the list. You notice though that the icon has the little arrow on it

(like the shortcut icon). It opens ok and you see the desktop icon. But when you double-click it you get an “access denied” error! It’s the same for all the

system icons.

<span style="font-family: Times New Roman; font-size:

To cut a long story

short, Server 2008 and Vista have changed the “All Users” location. If you navigate your way back to C:\Users, a folder called Public is visible (also a

hidden folder by default). In here you will now find the location to drop common user icons.

As mentioned, C:\Users\All Users\Desktop is there, but it’s marked as a “protected operating

system file” and is a shortcut. Perhaps something to do with the security virtualization?

Microsoft has taken the rare step of warning about a serious computer security vulnerability it

hasn’t fixed yet.

The vulnerability disclosed yesterday affects Internet Explorer users whose computers run the Windows XP or Windows Server

2003 operating software.

It can allow hackers to remotely take control of victims’ machines. The victims don’t need to do anything to get

infected except visit a website that’s been hacked.

Security experts say criminals have been attacking the vulnerability for nearly a week.

Thousands of sites have been hacked to serve up malicious software that exploits the vulnerability. People are drawn to these sites by clicking a link in

spam email.

The so-called “zero day” vulnerability disclosed by Microsoft affects a part of its software used to play

video.

The problem arises from the way the software interacts with Internet Explorer, which opens a hole for hackers to tunnel

into.

Microsoft urged vulnerable users to disable the problematic part of its software, which can be done from Microsoft’s support website,

while the company works on a “patch” – or software fix – for the problem.

limit of 25 PCs is unfair to enterprises, analyst Michael Silver, research vice president at Gartner, said. “I think it also encourages companies to monkey

mso-ansi-language: EN;">Estimated retail prices fore the full packaged Windows 7 product in the United States range from $199.99 for the Premium edition to

mso-ansi-language: EN;">Windows 7 offers features like a redesigned Windows TaskBar that are intended to make a PC simpler and easier to use. The latest in

the Windows line would follow the much-maligned Vista, which has been criticised over issues such as performance, compatibility and cost.

style="font-size: small;">Fring is based on a unique thin-client technology that enables true VoIP over 3G, Edge, GPRS and Wi-Fi networks. Fring dynamically

adapts itself to the optimal network and handset characteristics while enabling seamless roaming VoIP on multiple networks.

Fring supports various applications including Skype, MSN

Messenger, Google Talk, ICQ, SIP, Facebook, Yahoo Messenger, AIM, Gmail, Twitter and more.

Fring uses mobile connectivity for VoIP over 3G, Edge & GPRS (previously only available over

broadband or very recently High speed Mobile Connectivity – HSDPA)

Fring does all the work for you, it automatically logs you into your favorite Wi-Fi hotspots

which saves you time and hassle without having to configure your access point each time.

This means that if you are out of Wi-Fi reception, Fring will automatically connect via your 3G

connection. When Fring detects Wi-Fi is available, it will automatically re-connect.

Features include live chat with contacts over various platforms, the ability to transfer files

between devices and the most useful function for me being VoIP. You can configure Fring to connect to your SIP provider. This means taking the office to the

road! Never miss a call again!

Some mobile phones have the SIP feature built-in, for phones that do not have this

funtionality Fring is the answer! All your mobile needs a 3G connection or Wi-Fi capability.

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm
